Who We Serve | Youth

Who Family Tree Program Serves

Youth

Elementary and high school-aged youth, ages 6-17, make up an important demographic of the youth and family work that we do at the Family Tree Program. We see a diverse group of therapy needs for this group that range from internal struggles like anxiety, anger, and depression to ones that could come through their environment, like bullying and adapting to big life changes.

The Family Tree Program addresses this unique blend of challenges and everyday struggles by acknowledging the real challenges that come in this stage of life while promoting youth resilience and strong families.

Who Do We Serve? | Caregivers | Family Tree Program

Caregivers

Family relationships are challenging, whether you come from a two-parent household, a single-parent household, or if you’re a extended family member providing care for a child. The Family Tree Program programs support for a vast array of family systems and can help leverage tools to help you find the support you need.

By finding a partner like us that can ackowledge and address the everyday struggles of your family we can help build a strong family system for you.

Who We Serve | Family | Family Tree Program

Family

Family counseling is the most effective way to address youth challenges because so much of the youth’s experience depends on the family system. By working together, families learn healthier ways to resolve conflict and support one another, creating lasting positive change for both the youth and the family as a whole.

What Family Tree Does

What Family Tree Does

We use trained professionals to support families and build on their strengths. Our staff is passionate about helping families, knowledgeable about children & youth, and ready to serve communities.

We offer counseling with a licensed professional and group-based learning for youth and parents at no cost to families.

What FAMILY TREE doesn’t do:

  • Complex mental health or behavioral health treatment
  • Long-term/multi-year intervention
  • Focus only on crisis intervention/families in crisis
  • Long-term service support
  • Remove or place children
  • Couples counseling
  • High conflict divorce cases

Other IMPORTANT THINGS to know:

We may not be able to help every family who comes
through the door because of the complexity of a family’s
needs, or capacity and resource limitations.

We mostly work with families, but in some cases we will serve the youth individually. This is because of a particular youth’s needs or the level of engagement of the parent.
